Not a full report just yet since I’m going to attend tomorrow too, but my first day at Maker Faire was, as usual, so much fun it should be illegal.
I saw pretty much everything, asked plenty of questions, and got enough ideas to last me until next year. For now, have a photo of the booty I collected this day!
A Maker Faire mug for brewing robot tea, a sachet of herbs (rose, lavender, and peppermint), stickers, and patches embroidered by an amazing 16-spool embroidery machine. (Yes, that is a Minecraft sword sprite, or the closest the machine can come to producing one.)
Not pictured are the horseshoe nail ring the blacksmiths made me (which I’m wearing now) and the maple sugar candies I got (because they were devoured hours ago).
I also think I may have gotten a little bit of a sunburn, but all in all ’twas a very good day. I’m looking forward to tomorrow when I’ll be teaching. (Again, come find me! It’s totally worth it to attend.)
