Before I die…

Found this earlier today. It’s a work in New Orleans by Candy Chang, street artist and urban planner, that’s very simple and wicked cool. (I’m a sucker for pieces that demand audience participation.)

As you can see, she’s painted the whole wall black, stenciled text on, and left baskets of chalk handy; inviting passers-by to add on. Give yon picture a click to head to her site and see exactly what folks have written. There are a ton of photos with responses that range from lighthearted (“find Atlantis” and “be tried for piracy”) to deep (“be okay with not understanding”) to sugar-fueled (“swim in a pool of golden retriever puppies”). Certainly worth a full read.

In case the picture link didn’t work, here’s another: http://candychang.com/before-i-die-in-nola/
